A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running some business, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited email messages, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to get only authentic emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

If you’ve got a cloud web hosting service with our company and you want to activate the catch-all feature for a given e-mailbox that you’ve got in your web hosting account, it’ll take literally only a click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created under any domain hosted in the account. You can pick one single address per domain name by clicking the corresponding button. This will activate the feature instantly, so all email messages sent to mistyped email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button again will disable the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notification and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you disable the forwarding or you can simply pick some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be set up with several mouse clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated service with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be administered through our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes using any domain name registered there. To enable the catch-all functionality for a mailbox, you’ll need to click the sign with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each email address. Disabling the feature can be done in the exact same way and will not take more than a click either. If the catch-all option has already been activated for a specific domain, you will get a warning. The same goes if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never disable or replace any feature automatically.
